It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Preston Park! Here’s our guide to the top things to see and do this festive season…

    Fill your stockings with unique gifts for all the family at our Christmas Bazaar. Shop from over 50 handpicked stalls ranging from hampers to jewellery, pet accessories to handmade textiles and chutney. Taking place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December, our Bazaar will take place in the Victorian Street, Music Room and Festive Marquee.
    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December, 10am-4pm (last admission 3.30pm). Free entry with museum admission.
  2. Meet Father Christmas
    Visit Father Christmas in his magical grotto on the Victorian Street. Every child will receive a gift. £5 per child. Book your ticket on the day from the museum Welcome Desk and you will be allocated a time to visit the grotto. Limited availability.

  3. Add your name to the naughty/nice list Have you been good this year? Add your name to the naughty and nice list outside of Santa’s grotto.Every Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 18 December. Free with museum entry.
  4. Discover the traditions of Christmas past Take a seat in the grand Music Room and discover how Christmas was celebrated in the days when Preston Hall was a home. A festive talk by Preston Park Museum’s Heritage Officer. Wednesday 7 December. £2 including refreshments. Find out more and reserve your place by telephoning 01642 527 375.
  5. Make Brilliant Baubles Join us for a festive family craft workshop and make a Brilliant Bauble to take home and hang on your Christmas tree. Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December, 10am-3.30pm. Free with museum entry

  7. Go for a walk in the park
    What better way to blow away the cobwebs then a brisk walk on a bright crisp day around the beautiful park and grounds. Afterwards, warm up with a hot chocolate and cake in our cafe on the Victorian Street (Museum admission fee applies).
  8. Festive Trail Keep the children entertained with our family festive trail around the museum. Pick up an activity sheet from the Welcome Desk. Every day throughout December.
