Discover the treasures found at local archaeological dig sites and learn what these tell us about Anglo-Saxon life. Students are encouraged to investigate and handle replicas of real objects found within Anglo-Saxon graves. Plus, make a clay pot to take home and take part in fun board games.
Working in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery and supported by the Arts Council, ‘Making a Mark’ is a set of History and Art workshops.
Sessions are up to 2 hours and include a short tour of our Anglo-Saxon display. Suitable for Key Stage 2.
Introductory offer- £45 per workshop (up to 30 children), plus £1.50 museum admission per child (accompanying adults are free).
