Discover an eggs-hibition of, you guessed it, eggs!
We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who created an egg for this year’s Eggshibition. It was with great sadness that we had to postpone the opening of this amazing piece of community art back in March, due to Covid 19.
And now that we can safely re-open, we thought it was only right that that we kept the eggshibition open for you all to see.
This year we have received more than 1,500 decorated eggs, made by local schools, volunteers and community groups. The egg designs include a variety of cracking ideas, from ‘Egg Sheeran’, ‘Hagrid from Harry Potter’ to ‘First Egg on the Moon’. The theme is colour with a huge rainbow centerpeice and we hope that it spreads a little bit of rainbow joy in these difficult times.
We look forward to welcoming you to the museum to celebrate everyone’s hard work.
Have you decorated an egg for a previous eggshibition? If so keep an eye out for it as we try and re-use as many as possible.
