Stockton Y Station: The First in the Country

Alan Betteney, well-known local historian and author, provides a talk exploring the story of the Stockton Y Station; the building described as the first line of defence against Zeppelin raids and the only station the Royal Navy had which was capable of intelligence gathering at the outbreak of World War One.

It was based at Stockton and became part of a network of sites feeding information to the military.
