Folksy Theatre presents - Mister Magnolia

Mister Magnolia has many things, such as an old trumpet that goes rooty-toot, some very fat owls learning to hoot, a big purple dinosaur who's a magnificent brute, two sisters who play the flute, and even a swimming pool. But he still only has one boot! Join Mister Magnolia on his wacky adventures, filled with Folksy Theatre's bold characters, live music, puppetry and audience interaction, it's a day out not to be missed! Based on the book by the legendary Quentin Blake!

What time should I arrive? 

The gates open an hour before the show starts 

11am performance - gates open from 10am

2pm performance - gates open from 1pm

Where is the performance?

Mister Magnolia will take place in the Bandstand Garden in the park. You will be able to see the Bandstand across the field from the main car park. To get to it,  just follow the path around past the museum.

What time will it finish?

The performance lasts an hour with no interval. 

What should I bring?

Please bring something to sit on and dress for all weather! Why not bring a picnic to enjoy? Sorry no alcohol is allowed. 

Where is my ticket? 

When you booked your ticket you should have received a confirmation email. This is your ticket and you can show this on your phone to the member of staff on the gates at the Bandstand. 

If you did not receive an email at the time of booking, please check your junk folder or contact the museum on 01642 527375. 

Are dogs allowed? 

Sorry no dogs are allowed in the Bandstand Garden during the performance. 

Will the performance still go ahead if it rains?
