Pack a picnic and bring your favourite teddy along to enjoy a full day of fun, stories and crafts. Plus, take your ted along to our 'Teddy Bear Hospital' for a check-up and then visit the Chemist on the Victorian Street to collect your 'prescription'!
What time is the event?
The event starts at 10am and closes at 4pm (last admission is at 3.30pm). Most of the activities are drop-in from 10am - 3.30pm.
How much is it and do I need to book?
Entry to the Teddy Bears' Picnic is included in the price of your museum ticket. If you don't already have a museum pass, you can buy one on the day from the Museum Welcome Desk. Find out more about museum admission.
Activities are all drop-in on the day.
We are running a series of quiet Sunday mornings which are aimed at supporting the needs of people with autism, sensory conditions and dementia. They are times when the museum is open as usual but it is usually quieter. We will turn off additional noises and sound effects, as well as turning up lighting in darker areas. We will have a relaxed opening from 9am -11am for the Teddy Bears' Picnic.
We will be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and if it rains we will be moving all our activities indoors. Unfortunately we don't have any indoor space for you to eat your picnic.
Sorry no dogs are allowed in the Bandstand or museum.
